Real or AI Quiz: Can You Tell AI From Real?

What is a real or AI quiz?

A real or AI quiz is a game where you look at pictures and decide whether each one is a real photo or an image made by artificial intelligence. In RealityCheck AI, every round shows you a single picture and gives you two choices: real or AI. You tap your guess and get instant feedback, so you learn as you play. It's the same idea as an AI or real game — just the other way around. You can play it free in your browser, on desktop and phone, and you don't need an account to start.

Real or AI: how a round works

A round is simple. You see an image, tap 'real photo' or 'AI-generated', and find out immediately whether you were right. A full game has ten rounds. You collect points for correct answers, and faster guesses earn more. You can play solo, take the daily challenge, or challenge a friend in multiplayer. The whole thing is a free real or AI quiz that runs in your browser — no install required.

What to look for in a real or AI quiz

There is no single feature that proves an image is AI-generated, and some real photos look unusual. But a few things are worth a closer look — treat them as hints, not reliable rules:

• Hands and fingers — count them; AI sometimes adds or merges fingers
• Text in images — signs or writing that looks blurry or nonsensical
• Light and shadows — sources of light that don't match the shadows
• Backgrounds — edges or structures that blur or break logic
• Faces — skin that looks too smooth or eyes that sit slightly off

Why real or AI is getting harder

Generative AI improves fast. Today's tools can produce faces, landscapes and objects that look like real photos at first glance. The obvious mistakes from earlier models show up less often, so the real or AI question keeps getting harder — which is exactly why a little practice helps. The more rounds you play, the sharper your instinct gets for the small details that separate a real photo from an AI-generated image.
